Head Coach Harvey Doneski. |

The Beavers celebrate a
victory in the opening game of a doubleheader with Lowell. The Beavers rode
the pitching of Rick Coyne in the opener, but had to settle for a split as
Lowell took the nightcap. |

Or, is it the other way around? What we know
for sure is that the action came between

The Beaver bench. That's

Doneski (17) and catcher Joe Cambi. |

Coach Doneski unsuccessfully
pleads his case in a dispute with the umpires. Doneski questioned the
foul-ball call on a drive by Bobby Gorman, who banged a base-hit later in
the at-bat. Action was part of the Beavers' 2-1 victory over Stonehill in
the opening game of a doubleheader. The Beavers combined the excellent
hurling of Rick Renwick and Gorman's clutch-hitting (3 for 4, including the
game-winning RBI in the seventh inning) to emerge victorious. |

Babson three-sport star and
Hall of Fame member, George Salvitti, shares a moment with his greatest fan,
his dad, Amelio. Mr. Sal was a fixture at every soccer, ice hockey, and
baseball game his son played at Babson, as well as before that at Watertown
High School. Mr. Sal and George represent all that is good about sports and
we are proud to forever call them our own. |
