The 1983 Babson Baseball Team
First row (l-r): George Howard, Scott Weiler, Wes Graves, John Lynch, Mike Kanis
Second row: Craig Robertson, Rich Tassinari, Mike Hume, Brock Romano, Joe Burkett
Third row: Peter Dawes, Chris Starr, Tim Keane, Jim Taylor, Bobby Sample
Fourth row: Russ Nicolletti, Dave Burton, Steve Bowen, Bill Croteau

Wes Graves bangs a basehit vs. Bates. A few days later, Graves had a 4-hit game at UMass-Boston.

SS Scott Weiler waits for a throw too late to prevent the Bates runner from stretching a single into a double. Weiler had three hits and three RBI in the game, as the Beavers pounded the Bobcats, 7-1, behind Dave Perry's complete game hurling.

Swinging from the left side, Chris Starr
takes a pitch high for ball one...

then goes down to get a low outside pitch and shoots a groundball single to left against the Framingham State Rams.

2B Skip Short cannot get to the ball that goes through for a ground single by the Bowdoin batsman. That's CF Mike Hume racing in to get the ball.

Rich Tassinari strokes a base hit.
That's Coleman Hall in the background.

Diving back to first is Skip Short,
in fourth inning action vs. Curry.

SS Scott Weiler puts away a pop fly, as
LF Brock Romano hustles in to back up.

Bill Croteau and ??? relaxing down in the bullpen.

Dave "Dragon" Perry on his way a to a complete game, six-hit 8-3 win over WPI. Perry allowed only one earned run, while not walking a batter and registering five K's.

Peter Dawes delivers a third-inning pitch
in the 7-3 win over Nichols.

2B Skip Short tosses to SS Scott Weiler covering second base on the front end of a 4-6-3 doubleplay against Brandeis. It was a big play in the
 Beaver win over Brandeis, 8-7.

Steve Bowen legs out a two-bagger vs. Nichols.
