-- Mike Dayton --
always dependable at the initial sack.

John Davitt rounds third and heads home on a three-bagger by Jeff Ewing. Action came in the first game of a doubleheader vs. Clark, with Babson winning the opener, 5-1, before dropping the nightcap, 7-3.

John Hanewich gets a good
 secondary lead vs. Clark.

The left side of the Beaver infield, 3B Bob Gorton and SS Jim Agabedis, poised for action in the first game of the Babson-Clark doubleheader. The Beavers won the opener, 5-1, while the Cougars came back to win the nightcap, 7-3. Gorton had a pair of hits on the day with two RBI, while Agabedis also banged a couple of safeties to go with some sparkling defensive play at short.

Buck Gagne

Against Clark in the first game of a doubleheader, Jim Agabedis, Dennis Fritchman, George Ryan, and Coach Gary Stockbridge confer at the mound, after Fritchman stopped a line drive with his shin. The sophomore hurler recovered quickly, and continued on his way to spinning a nifty two-hitter vs. the Cougars, posting a 5-1 win.

        Fireballing Chris Squire...

delivers a pitch vs. Nichols College in the opener of a twinbill that was split by the two teams.

Squire went the route, posting a 4-2 win, striking out eight and walking one.

John Davitt belts a single...

and then took a big turn at first base,
found himself in a rundown, and two
 tosses later, was put out.
