After a mighty swing, big Joe Kehoe looks high and deep, while the bench
and the fans, including his dad (the gentleman second from the right),
look to see if the catcher has held onto the ball. Joe had the final say when,
on the next pitch, he rifled a double to left center to score Matt Bigda from first base
with the winning run in a come-from-behind 10-9 ten-inning thriller vs. Fitchburg State.

2B Matt Bigda ready for the play vs. Fitchburg State, in a game won by the Beavers, 10-9. Bigda was...

an offensive force with three hits on the day, two doubles, an RBI, and two runs scored, including the game-winner on a Joe Kehoe 10th-inning double.

Portsider Steve McCabe on the way...

to his 4-3 victory over Framingham State.

Joe Kehoe makes sure the fielders are positioned
for the Framingham State hitter. Joe belted a long
homer in this game to help batterymate Steve McCabe post the 4-3 victory.

Slugging first baseman, Dave Millman, takes an attempted
pickoff throw from Steve McCabe vs. Framingham State.

DH Keith Vera is a menacing sight at the plate.

Watching the Beavers rallying to tie the opening game of a doubleheader vs. Wheaton at 4-4, are (l-r): assistant coach Norm Govoni, Andrew Gallinaro, Nate Laliberte, Phil McGinnis, and
Babson president Lee Higdon. Babson eventually lost the game, 6-4, but came back
in the nightcap to beat the Lyons, 5-0, behind Billy Fitzgerald's five-hitter.

The cozy couple is Jimmy Battista and Keith Vera. In front, Dave Volante and Nate Laliberte
wonder what went wrong in the Babson doubleheader loss to USCGA at New London, Conn.

Captain Dave Millman (42), power-hitting OF and three-time Beaver MVP,
with (l-r) coaches Govoni, Millerick, and Reed.

Assistant Coach Mike Reed [l] and Head Coach Frank Millerick of the Babson Beavers
flank legendary Tufts skipper, John Casey. It was Casey who kept his smile later in the day,
after his Jumbos took a Sunday twinbill from the Babson 9.
